I don't know what the first printings were of any of the first twelve B&L titles. There are only a handful of B&L titles for which I have information about the size of the first printing. However, I have complete sales figures for the entire B&L series, 1921-1924.

I don't know how many were printed, but it is my impression that they are "generally" not exceedingly difficult to find without jackets. Of course, with DJs they are great rarities- there are very few jacketed copies in existence of this group. In fact, for some of these firsts, there are no known jacketed copies.

I've gotten interested in collecting as many ML titles as possible in the #1 binding, and, since I'm not in the 1% (or anywhere near it), have not concerned myself with DJs. Before long, these volumes will be 100 years old.
Does anyone know how many copies of each of the first twelve ML titles were initially printed? I've gotten three so far with the C1 list (Dorian Grey, War in the Air and Miracle of St. Anthony), but wonder how difficult the other nine will be. I assume that Treasure Island is the most difficult to find.
