  About Ragtime: I have two copies, which are identical.  Both are 1994.  Their jackets have Doctorow's photo on the left side of the cover: waist up wearing a heavy sweater.  You said there is another jacket and the book is still marked first. What's that jacket like?  Is it 1994? Is there any content difference in the book or just a new jacket?
