Flowering Judas - a split ML run?

I've seen several examples of this. The ML must have had a number of copies in the warehouse when the ML edition was officially discontinued, and when it was restored to the series (in a new jacket) they put the old printings into the new jacket and sold them alongside newly printed copies.
