Vizetelly & Co, London, is also the publisher of an 1884 English edition of Nana, as listed on several editions for sale on ABE.

The introduction in 142 by Ernest Boyd in 1927 refers to Ernest A. Vizetelly as Zola's biographer. FJ Vizetelly (a relative of Ernest? - seems likely) was Nana's "authorized" translator into English. So it's entirely possible the translation used in 142 was FJ's, although I don't how or if that can be confirmed.
