[ModLib] The War in Outline: Interesting DJ find

Very interesting! The War in Outline was discontinued at the end of 1945 and A Bell for Adano was published in April 1946. The price change stickers were sent to booksellers when the Modern Library increased the price of regular volumes from $1.10 to $1.25 on April 15, 1947. Some booksellers probably bought discontinued ML's at remainder prices and sold them at full price with the regular stock--and when the price went up, dutifully marked up the price of the remainders as well!
