[ModLib] On the Matter of 1st DJ Price as First Edition Point

Folks,

I would use the following table as the source for the price that  
would appear on the first edition DJ:

http://www.modernlib.com/General/pricesByDate.html

The trouble is that these prices are mainly based on ads and ML  
catalogs and only peripherally drawn from prices reported by  
collectors. This is because so few people reported prices to me.

The question is, should prices based on these sources be considered  
valid indicators?
