I've been reading Beerbohm's "Zuleika Dobson." It's a hoot - very
funny stuff. It's tough going in parts - written as it was in 1911,
it's quite literate in that it's filled with short quotations from
classic works of Latin, French, and Italian without translation. Also
some of the vocabulary is tough (All this in spite of my own strong
backgroundi n the classics!) so I need to keep a dictionary nearby.
But it's worth it. I recommend it.
