Remainder marks

Talking about remainder marks in general and not just ML ones.
The importance of a remainder mark (and to some extent it depends on how that 
looks, spray, heavy lines, a dot etc) and the age of the book. For those who 
like formulas I would say something like  100/2+n expressed as a percentage 
is appropriate, where "n" is the age of the book.  If the book is one year 
old that would reduce value by 1/3rd.  20 years old would be 100/22 =  4.5% 
approximately. Enjoy!
