Butterfield 8 first

It's always easier to prove that something exists than to 
prove it doesn't.

The fact that no ML catalog of regular titles lists 
Butterfield 8 before 1961, and the fact that no list of 
titles at the end of books or inside jackets lists it before 
1961, may be persuasive.
